Casino Royale Titles

James Bond, played by Daniel Craig, pointing his gun at the camera, as seen down the barrel of another gun.

As promised, now that I’ve gotten my mitts on a copy of Casino Royale on DVD, here are some screen caps of the title sequence, designed by Framestore CFC.

  1. Delicious. Thank you so much for posting.

Interesting that they used the malformed Century Gothic for the main title and the nearly perfect Avenir for the rest. It’s not awful, but odd.

  2. I noticed that, too. Films seem to have these distinct rifts, visually. You can almost see the division of design & production labor by tracking the font variations. Or maybe they just overlooked it. Lots of moving parts in something like that.
